Clean-up Challenge: Hurricane Katrina Left Thousands of Large Trees in Roads
It is no small task to remove a six -foot diameter tree from a road. Katrina knocked down thousands. Timberwolf log splitters were brought in to cut giant fallen trees into manageable sizes for easy removal.

/New Hampshire News Articles/ - RUTLAND, VT, April 15, 2007 -- When Hurricane Katrina left thousands of fallen trees down and blocking roads, the task of removal and clean-up was made easier with the TW-10 RC log splitter from Timberwolf.

Massive trees require a massive log splitter, and the TW-10 RC is so large and so powerful that the operator must use a remote control while standing well out of the way for safety.

The Timberwolf TW-10 RC—the largest production log splitter on Earth—can handle logs up to 6 feet in diameter and 10 feet long. With its 65-horse power John Deere diesel engine, this massive, 12,000 lb.-beast can safely quarter giant logs into smaller pieces for further processing with more conventional equipment.

Timberwolf log splitters called into action to help the clean up crews deal with the massive amount of wood debris in the weeks and months following the devastation caused by Katrina. This same equipment is used by commercial logging and wood mulching operations all over the country.

"We don't cut corners when it comes to quality. We know that our customers rely on our equipment to keep their company in business. We use heavy-duty components with state-of-the-art welding techniques of the highest quality workmanship. As a result, Timberwolf's log splitters are faster, easier, and more reliable than any other log splitter out there," explained David Therrien, company president and CEO.

Timberwolf's log splitters are designed to help anyone get the most out of producing firewood. They are faster, easier and more reliable than any other log splitter out there. The Honda OHV GX series gasoline engines provide easy starting and trouble-free maintenance, according to information on the company web site at http://www.TimberwolfCorp.com

The Timberwolf log splitter does the work of three men, and it does it faster and more efficiently. The durability and reliability of the made-in-the-U.S.A. machine enables firewood dealers to produce more firewood in less time with higher profits as the result.

About Timberwolf:
Timberwolf, located in Rutland, Vermont, manufactures log splitters and products used by firewood dealers. The company has a reputation as the "Cadillac of Log Splitters." The twelve-year-old company has sold over 10,000 log splitters.
