Company Introduces Maternity Safety Car Seat Belt to Protect Pregnant Women
Condella has announced the creation of the maternity "Belly Seat Belt" to protect pregnant women and their unborn child while driving or riding in a vehicle.

/New Hampshire News Articles/ - LONG BEACH, CA - March 11, 2006 - Pregnant women have always suffered the discomfort of wearing a car seat belt, and possible harm to themselves and their unborn child if in an accident.

Until now there has been no way to make a conventional seat belt safely fit under a pregnant woman's belly. Concerns over maternity safety and unborn baby or fetal safety prompted the development of the maternity "Belly Seat Belt".

The problem occurs when a pregnant woman tries to wear a typical automobile seat belt. The belt inevitably goes across her abdomen, which is hazardous to her and her unborn child.

"Never place the belt over the abdomen," the U. S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration warns pregnant women. "Lap belts, as well as the lap portion of a lap-shoulder belt combination, should be placed low, across the hips and over upper thighs. They must lie snuggly over the pelvis."

The new maternity "Belly Seat Belt" is designed to be used with standard seat belts found in automobiles, and it can be easily transferred from one vehicle to another.

The maternity "Belly Seat Belt" is a device that attaches to the existing seat belt in such a way as to re-position it to just under the belly, making it safer and much more comfortable.

"It is so easy for any woman to use. Quite simply, you place the base on the car seat, and attach the flap to it. Then each time you get in and out of the seat, you simply connect or disconnect the it to the base," explained Murray Purkiss, who is launching the new device.

With a retail price less than $20, the maternity "Belly Seat Belt" is easy for any expectant mother to afford. It should be one of the top items on the list of maternity and pregnancy needs.

Condella is the exclusive distributor of the device, and provides complete information, diagrams, and photographs on a web site at http://BellySeatBelt.com.
